The 1975 NAIA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament was held in March at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. The 38th annual NAIA basketball tournament featured 32 teams playing in a single-elimination format [1]. 1975 would see the departure of the sixth team of the eight originating teams from the 1937 tournament. Morningside College left the tournament with nine career appearances, and an overall record of 5 wins and 9 loses. Their first loss to Central Missouri State made Morningside the first National Runner-up. To date, the Mustangs, have not appeared in the NAIA DI tournament, but have appeared in the NAIA DII tournament in 2006, 2008, and 2009. Consolation Game between Alcorn State and St. Mary's a rematch of 1974's Semifinal game (both won by Alcorn State).
